AR MultiPendulum offers a unique way to engage with virtual objects by utilizing hand gestures instead of traditional touchscreen interactions. The app presents an engaging multi-pendulum simulation in augmented reality, where users can manipulate the simulation through gestures and an intuitive holographic interface.
Setting itself apart, this application not only provides an augmented reality experience for a pendulum simulation but also showcases the ability to simulate more than three pendulums simultaneously. Moreover, it stands out as the first app to enable an affordable augmented reality headset experience by leveraging a repurposed VR headset. Users with Google Cardboard can transform their iPhones into AR headsets, rendering their surroundings in VR through images captured by the device's camera.
For users of select newer iPhones and iPads equipped with a built-in LiDAR scanner, AR MultiPendulum leverages this technology to enhance the realism of rendered environments and accurately reconstruct the 3D positioning of their hands within the simulation.
